Martin Šembera

Martin Sembera, MSc, PhD

Physiotherapist

 

Dr. Sembera graduated in physiotherapy from the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. Under the mentorship of the renowned Professor Pavel Kolar, he pursued his PhD and has since become a vital part of the academic community, passionately teaching and inspiring future physiotherapists.

 

From 2017 to 2024, Dr. Sembera honed his expertise at the Pavel Kolar Centre of Physical Medicine. His experience extends to working with elite athletes, including those from HC Slavia Prague, ensuring they perform at their peak. His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his extensive education, both domestically and internationally, and his hands-on experience gained through traineeships at several top clinics in London.

Martin Kuma, MSc, Cert. MDT

Physiotherapist

Mr. Kuma studied physiotherapy at the University of Ostrava and later at the University of Bratislava. During his studies, he also completed a professional internship abroad in Finland.  As part of his postgraduate education, he has attended and continues to attend certified courses led by both domestic and international lecturers.

 

He gained experience over several years at the Central Military Hospital in Prague and in his private practice. Since 2013, he has been working at the Pavel Kolar Centre of Physical Medicine. In his practice, Martin focuses on patients with orthopedic and neurological musculoskeletal issues, back pain, herniated discs, sports physiotherapy, pediatric patients, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

 

He is a member of the McKenzie Institute and the Czech Society of Sports Medicine.

Jitka Novotna, MSc

Physiotherapist

Ms. Novotna graduated in Physiotherapy from Charles University. She began her professional career working with the youngest patients, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in infants and children.

 

She also taught a postgraduate course in reflex therapy based on developmental kinesiology (Vojta method).

 

Over time, she expanded her practice to include adult patients and completed numerous advanced training courses both in the Czech Republic and abroad. For more than ten years, she has focused intensively on the specialized treatment of scoliosis. She completed professional training in the SEAS method (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) and became the first - and so far the only - physiotherapist in the Czech Republic to achieve full international certification in the PSSE-Schroth method, one of the most effective physiotherapy-based approaches for scoliosis treatment (find more at scoliocare.cz).

Karolina Hanslikova, MSc, Cert. MDT

Physiotherapist

 

Karolina holds degrees in physiotherapy from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Palacký University and the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University. As part of her ongoing professional development, she regularly attends courses and conferences led by both Czech and international experts, staying up to date with the latest advances in physiotherapy.

 

She brings over ten years of clinical experience, having worked at the Military University Hospital (UVN) Prague as well as at several outpatient clinics across the Czech Republic. She has also worked in sports settings, serving as a physiotherapist for the Czech women’s national softball team and for the men’s A team floorball club in Svitavy.

 

In her practice, she combines targeted manual techniques with tailored exercise therapy to achieve lasting, effective results. She specializes in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those affecting the spine and upper limb, neurological, orthopedic, post-injury, and post-surgical cases. Her expertise also includes sports physiotherapy, GER, and manual lymphatic drainage. She treats both adults and children aged 10 and above.

Josef Dujka

Massage Therapist

In his practice, Josef focuses primarily on deep tissue massage, one of the most effective massage techniques, which also serves as an excellent complement to physiotherapy.

 

Through targeted work on muscles and fascia, Josef helps relieve the effects of sedentary work as well as overload from sports. He continually updates his education with modern methods that combine massage with functional rehabilitation techniques.

 

The goal of massage therapy is to use manual techniques to create optimal conditions for long-term improvements in mobility, recovery, and overall physical fitness.
